Description

Very beautiful, vintage 1950’s “Nancy Ann Style Show” doll. This model is called “Summer Day”. She is hard plastic and stands 18 inches high. She has a very shiny, glued-on saran wig, in its original factory set, original flowers in her hair. Gorgeous face paint, blue sleep eyes, with full lashes, movable head, arms and legs. She is wearing her original plaid taffeta gown, that is a pale yellow, with various pink and black details. It has “leg o’ mutton” style sleeves, a fitted waist and a very, very full skirt. It has a wide ribbon decoration at the waist, with flowers at the center.  It has a bow at the neck and snaps in the back. She has her original, wired, cotton petticoat, that snaps at the back and has lace trim at the bottom. Original cotton panties, that have an elastic waist and lace trim on the bottoms. Original nylon stockings and original center snap, satin shoes.  Her straw hat is replaced, but of the same time period as the doll. I have added the ribbon to it and some additional vintage flowers, that are the same time period as the doll. It ties under her chin. I have added the bow to the front neckline and the vintage flowers to the ribbon decoration at her waist. I have made her a tulle petticoat, to make her full skirt stand out nicely.  She is in very good condition, her issues are: There is a 1/2 inch repair at the front neck, under the bow, the top two original snaps, had lost the backs, so I have added snaps, but only the original snaps show at the back.  Her satin shoes have discolored due to age, there are two small repairs to the back of the skirt and water mark discolorations at the back of the skirt, these can be seen in the final two photos.
